This table trophy is fitted with a mechanism that makes it turn around on itself. It portrays the goddess Diana riding a stag and holding two dogs on leashes. On the base we find another two hunters, dogs, hares, reptiles and beetles, not to scale. This very unusual object was used to delight guests during dinner, and it bears the initials of the artist who made it (J.F.). It testifies to the high quality of jewellery in the city of Augsburg, where it was made, in the early seventeenth century.
