I AM A SCHOLAR

For those who visit the Ambrosiana Library regularly to conduct historical or literary research, we firstly propose to enrich their research by use of the online catalogue, with a viewing of artworks from the period investigated, or inspired by the works to which they are devoting their studies.

For those engaged in studies related to the history of art, the six volumes of the Scientific Catalogue of the Ambrosian Art Gallery, published between 2005 and 2010 by Electa Mondadori thanks to a precious contribution by Banca Intesa, are an indispensable reference work in the series “Museums and Galleries of Milan”.
In them you will find the catalogue and descriptive entries enriched by a bibliography and images that offer a valuable starting point for work and judgment on the works in our collection.
