GRANPARENTS’ DAY

To celebrate Grandparents’ Day – Sunday October 1 and Monday October 2 – the Ambrosiana Art Gallery offers free admission to all grandparents accompanied by their grandchildren.
An opportunity to spend a special day together among the wonders of the Ambrosiana.
Grandparents and children will be able to admire the great masterpieces such as Caravaggio’s Basket of fruit, Raphael’s Cartoon for the School of Athens , Leonardo’s Musician but also memorabilia such as the gloves of Napolenon and the reliquary with the hair of Lucrezia Borgia, then concluding the visit in the Federiciana Room among the sheets of Leonardo’s Codex Atlanticus. The visit ends in the Crypt of San Sepolcro, one of the oldest testimonies of the city’s history. The flooring, made up of large slabs of white ‘Verona’ stone, comes from the paving of the ancient Roman forum from the 4th century.
