THE CRYPT OF SAN SEPOLCRO AND LEONARDO DA VINCI

Leonardo was certainly here and Leonardo drew the map, both of the upper and lower church, which are currently in Paris. But Leonardo also sketched a bird’s eye map of Milan where he marked a little square that perfectly corresponds to the church of San Sepolcro, saying: “Here is the real center of Milan”. So we are really in what constitutes, both from the historical and religious point of view, and from the geographical point of view, the true center of the city.
