THE FRESCOES OF THE CRYPT #3

Frescoes were brought to light also at the entrance. Yes, these frescoes were already visible previously but now they have acquired a particular brightness. It is another crucifixion, probably from the 14th century, surrounded instead by frescoes dating from a later period, representing the scourging of Jesus, the ascent to Calvary, perhaps also depicting the meeting with the pious women, and the deposition from the Cross.
