Last night at the Center for American Studies, Rome, the award ceremony for the PAIR Prize (Prize for American – Italian Relations), now at its seventh edition, was held. Every year the Center awards Italian and American personalities who play an active role in building cultural, professional, political and economic bridges between the two sides of the Ocean to strengthen the connection between Italian and American cultures.
The Veneranda Biblioteca Ambrosiana was honored for the exhibition “Imagining The Future. Leonardo da Vinci: In The Mind Of An Italian Genius” inaugurated last June 20 at the Martin Luther King JR Memorial Library in Washington D.C. and organized in collaboration with Confindustria.
On that occasion, some sheets of the Codex Atlanticus of #LeonardodaVinci flew to the overseas capital as cultural witnesses of the Italian genius. Our Secretary General, Dr. Antonello Grimaldi, stated upon receiving the award: “Preserve to enhance. This is the task of the large cultural institutions: protection, custody, study, research and communication. I thank all the Confindustria staff for the excellent work done, Mons. Alberto Rocca, director of the Pinacoteca, for curating the exhibition, and all my team who work every day with passion and admirable dedication”
