THE COPPER PALM TREE OF CARDINAL FEDERICO BORROMEO | LAST PART

This particular and – I would say also precious – artifact remained confined in the crypt of San Sepolcro for decades and it was practically ignored. Thanks to a great patronage operation, this artifact has been completely restored, thanks also to the very accurate and sophisticated interventions by the metal restoration laboratory of the Centro Conservazione e Restauro La Venaria Reale in Turin and it has now been relocated right here, at the entrance of the Pinacoteca Ambrosiana. Symbol of the search for truth and beauty.
