Presentations of ancient Roman epigraphs from the Ambrosiana collections.
Among its many treasures, the Biblioteca Ambrosiana also owns a collection of ancient epigraphs (Roman inscriptions). For long a little neglected, lately these ancient inscriptions have been object of renewed interest among scholars. Some of the most interesting specimens are presented annually – two this year – as an example of the vitality of this means of communication of the past, shedding light on some aspects of life in ancient times.
