ARTE AND DESIGN IN THE AMBROSIANA – OFFICINA DELLA SCALA | MILANODESIGNWEEK 2023

From April 18 to 23, on the occasion of the Fuorisalone 2023, the Ambrosiana opens its doors to design week for the first time, hosting the Officina della Scala exhibition “Art and design in the Ambrosiana”.

The exhibition will feature a refined selection of works and furnishings capable of enhancing the philosophy of Officina della Scala and its modus operandi, linked to the craftsmanship of Made in Italy.

Among the items showcased, the T33 sofas and armchairs designed by the master architect Franco Albini for the steel-structured house – conceived for the 5th Triennale in 1933 – and the V40 vases, also by Albini, reissued by Officina della Scala in the versions with precious marbles and precious wooden essences.

On the occasion, also other collections created by Officina della Scala will be presented, where furnishings and sculptural works will bear witness to the passion, devotion and research towards the world of Art.

The exhibition, set up in the Sala delle Accademie of the Biblioteca Ambrosiana, will be open to the public with free access from 18 to 23 April, from 10.00 to 18.00.
